Hi everyone, was talking to MM today about the 28 and the 36, I'm sure some of you on here have both, just wondering which one to buy Michael said the 28 has a bigger sound with more low end and the 36 is powerful and responsive. What are the pro's and con's of both of these models in comparison to each other, is the 12 fret 28 more compact maybe? Any other info, points of interest? thanks Kim

Hi I have both, and i would say my 28 is more low end, more to be honest im not sure of the exact word more growl .....my 36 in many ways reminds me of my 1935 trojan. its very powerful for sure and certainly is a great guitar
all i can say is that you cannot possibly go wrong with either choice thats the most direct way i can put it

thanks AL for the reply, when you say low end do you mean it sounds more bass, the bass strings are more prominent sounding? treble strings less melodic? Kim

I’ve got smallish hands and I struggle with traditional resonator necks. Am I right in thinking that the 28 is a wee bit more forgiving? Same nut width but not quite as chunky? I use the thumb over the top thing instead of barre chords a lot and I struggle to manage on the bigger necks.

In fact the whole thing with the '36 is that it is an easy feeling guitar to play. Shine On Michael.
