Hi Lewis !
Fab Statesboro Blues there !
What strings were you using on that baritone uke ? Wound 3rd & 4th strings ? But what windings material for each string. My boy’s Baritone uke has a mix of different string tupes in a set. I found the Martin Baritone set were pretty good

It sounds like these are the same strings as your son has on his uke. These are a Martin M630 "set of fluorocarbon baritone ukulele strings, with a aluminium wound 3rd G, and a silverplated copper wound 4th D". It's now living in its new address. www.southernukulelestore.co.uk/strings/baritone/martin-m630-clear-fluorocarbon-baritone-ukulele-strings/I'd have like to have tried a set of Living Water all fluorocarbon (no wound low strings) on it as I have some on my soprano and they're the best strings I've used so far. Worth a try for your sons Uke maybe...? www.kenmiddleton.co.uk/product-page/baritone-linear-low-d Best, Lew

Hi Lewis,
I do actually use Living Water ukulele strings on my 5-string ukes - but never got around to trying a baritone set. My boy hardly plays his ukes now, since he moved up to guitars around 3yrs ago. He'll be 14yrs old in a few weeks and already occasionally picks up my Nationals for a wee play on them ! My younger boy, now 11yr old, still not showing any interest in ukes or guitar, but doing really well on learning piano and bagpipes !
