Time to part with my beautiful old Gibson L3. This is a wonderful instrument. I have had it for quite a long time and it has had an awful lot of restoration work done on it. It plays like it should and is in every way a professional instrument. Carved Spruce Top, Birch Back and Sides. It has had a front crack professionally repaired by Dave Gregory (now sadly no longer with us) you can hardly see it, it has to be pointed out, the refinish on the repaired area is excellent. The cricket bat neck has been reprofiled to a much more playable but still very chunky soft Vee profile, carbon rod inserted into neck, new ebony fingerboard and full re-fret by Peter Barton a wonderful luthier from Yorkshire. It has replacement tailpiece and bridge although I have the originals to go with it along with the pickguard and clamps. It has a JJB twin pickup fitted under the bridge feet which sounds absolutely mint. End pin jack socket Stewmac restoration tuners and original case. The neck is dead straight and the action is great, also easily adjustable by the bridge. As well as all of this, it is arguably one of the prettiest guitars ever to come my way. It just is not being played and needs to go to a home where it will get used. £3000
