Liked that Harriet π Is that a Republic 61? Sounds sweet. Best wishes to you all, John Thanks for your kind words. Yes it's a 61 Traveller with a 22 inch scale from about 2014, set up in Vestapol F. Surprisingly it's ok with this type of music where there is singing - I don't know about instrumental - it didn't work for me in recording at the F pitch for Guitar Rag. H

Hi Bonzo, I'm using 15/56 Newtone Phosphor Bronze. strings at F pitch- I'm pretty sure that the tension from that has something to do with it.
I will let "her" know that her chances of escaping return to the "Closet of Shame" are looking good.

Harriet, your playing and singing sounds really good.
Short scale guitars should not be in the closet of shame and are fine tuned up a tone or two. In fact they sound a bit more alive in higher tunings. With light strings you can go even higher than a tone or two.

Thanks for your kind words Michael. I'll keep in mind the light strings, at least on one song my vocal pitch was G.
And I just tuned up a half step on my other short scale parlor res I was having poor results from, so you've saved another. Thanks for the tip it sounds much better.

Really enjoyed those! Thanks for sharing. Really nice tone and feel. Great! Hi Dellb0y, Thanks! Well the resonator is certainly not got a full professional sound like the Michael Messer Lightning that you've be sharing clips - I've enjoyed those. Mine is kind of unique though - I think - in that I sent it out to California several years years ago to replace the cone with a National and they discovered the neck was twisted - so instead of resetting the neck a new bridge was cut to compensate.
