Following on from last week's Crow Jane here's a version of Blind Boy Fuller's "Weeping Willow" based on the Stefan Grossman arrangement. Alas, not a resonator or a slide in sight, but this is the sort of thing I'm trying to persuade myself I need a nice reso' for...

And this week I thought I'd try some Mississippi John Hurt:
As per last week, any credit should go to Stefan Grossman. I'm working on some slide pieces, too, but they are a long way from being worthy of this forum.

This one is just a bit of a practice run. Never played anything quite like this before. Be nice to keep the bass going throughout - something to practice...plus it's hard to sing and play this at the same time. Again, a practice area.

The latest in this infrequent series of country blues covers. All the greats had a version of this tune - Blind Boy Fuller had his Ragtime Mama Blues, Blind Willie McTell had The Georgia Rag, and Blind Blake had The Wabash Rag, from which most of my version is loosely (and somewhat poorly!) taken. Apologies for the dodgy camera angle - just a quick version grabbed on the mobile.
