Dramatised story of Ray Davis and his struggle to get the rights to his songs. The purchase of a ‘National Dobro’ comes in to the story , expect some kinks in the road on his journey. Pete

I haven't listened to that yet, but I will. Ray is great writer and he and Dave are fine musicians. I love their early records, You Really Got Me, All of the Day and all of the Night, Dedicated Follower of Fashion... and of course Lola. Brilliant stuff!
The sound of Lola was influenced/inspired by Tom McGuiness playing his Style O on Manfred Mann's "Pretty Flamingo" in 1966.
(Tom's Style O was used by Son House on his first UK tour)
