Playing ‘Songs’ is very good to do, do you sing? Whatever you think of your voice the main purpose of the guitar is probably to accompany a song ( Ok, solos on guitar are things that many live for and see the song as a means to let you play a guitar solo ) . So even if you don’t think your voice is ‘good ‘ try to learn songs. This also means you don’t have to be too complicated with your guitar work as the audience will be listening to the words and ( hopefully) following the story . Good luck Pete

Thanks Tony, I am pleased you like that one. I will tell Robbie what you said when I speak to him.
The guitars are tuned to open D (DADF#AD) and capoed at the second fret, so the actual key of the piece is E.
Sorry about the Christmassy bits, but it was in December!

Yeh I try to sing but not the best to be honest haha yeh I got the key an the capo it’s a lovely lively version an I have erd loads of them Michael but that ine is special man the all round performance and feel is 100% 👌 even the crimbo parts I even downloaded it as a mo3 out it on my phone in the voice notes an have it on loop for about 4 days now haha 🙈
