Eeek 1.30! That’s earlier than I expected - is there a schedule/timetable? When do we finish on Sunday? Apologies if I missed this!
Cheers, Rich

Cheers, Rich Rich, just turn up when you can, but you will miss my introduction to the weekend, which if you haven't been before would be useful to be at. Sunday... I have just been discussing with the Arts Centre about this, because usually they put on a buffet style lunch for us. However, because of Covid we don't think a load of plates that we all dip into would be a good idea, so I guess it will break down a little earlier than usual, around 1-ish. Shine On Michael

Thanks Michael, I have taken this week off work, but have just been reminded of the massive home improvement commitments I made for the time. It is going to be challenging…😉

I have been looking forward to this weekend for ages and had it all planned with Mr Ditch. We were going up on the Thursday afternoon to be fresh and rested for Friday. As I still have my room booked for Thursday night I guess I will drive up as planned. Anyone else getting there early or do I settle down in my room and watch tv.?
And of coarse play guitar
Pete

Good on you, Pete. I haven't picked up a guitar since last Friday. However, with this apparent two steps forwards, one step backwards game being played in my body I might just have a go tomorrow, Mrs PD permitting of course. Safe journeys and have fun. Best, PD.

Cheers, Rich Rich, You won’t be the only person arriving after kick-off. I always seem to manage it: on paper it’s a 4 hour drive but inevitably it takes longer and I never seem to get out the door as early as I plan to. It always seems to work out OK though. The important thing is to get there in time to join in the Friday evening student performances/jam and have a few jars with like minded folks. See you there in the late club! Pat

Pat and others, remember very old saying that’s it’s better to arrive 30 minutes late than 30 years early in next world. Drive safe.

Great weekend again Michael! Thank you Phil. It was wonderful to see you and everyone that came to the event. I will write in more detail and post some photos later. Meanwhile, here's one I took on Friday morning on my stroll around town. Shine On Michael

I had a great time at Pocklington during this my first ever involvement. The guitar I chose to take is a bit "challenging" in so far as with its action and the D'Addario 12 thou' string set, it does "fight back" a bit, but by the time I had returned to the softysarfeast, I noticed that I was playing much more precisely than previously, and that I put down solely to the exacting weekend regime having strengthened my fingers, so practice is definitely beneficial. Many thanks go out to Pete, Michael and Robbie for making it all happen.

Thank you Stevie, I am pleased you enjoyed your first visit to sunny Pocklington, which it was for some of the time. It was a busy weekend for me and I never got a chance to chat with you, but I did see you smiling whenever I saw you! On behalf of Robbie, Pete and yours truly, thanks for being there and for your kind words. Shine On Michael
