Hello everyone. While reading up about my Busker Tennessee squareneck (c'mon we all do it) I came across the Busker Chattanooga. I don't have any recollection of seeing this model before and it has caught my eye. (Shiny!) Anyone got one?
Best wishes to you all, John

The Tennessee is a generic instrument that Busker Guitars bought in very small numbers to see what they were like and to test the market for a square-neck Dobro type of instrument. They have a pretty good sound for a guitar in its price range. The Chattanooga, if my memory is correct, is a square-neck brass bodied Tricone with a nato wood neck. These also are generic instruments that were only every ordered in very small numbers.

Hi Michael. We've chatted about my Tennessee squareneck on the forum before. I got it from a fellow forum member up in Leeds. You had positive comments at the time I remember, and it was your 'buy it someone' remark that swayed me! Lol! I've just come across the Chattanooga and was curious to find out more about it. Seemed like a nice guitar for not a lot of money and already being a busker owner know they come well set-up. If there was one available.........๐๐๐ธ
Best wishes to you all, John

I have nothing negative to say about them, they are excellent value for money. There was very little around at the time in the budget priced Dobro market, and the Tennessee filled that gap very well. My comment in my previous post was not meant to look negative, it was positive about a guitar in that price range. When Busker marketed them they were around ยฃ350 to ยฃ399... somewhere in there. To put that into context, an MM Lightning was ยฃ499.00. Shine On Michael

I didn't take anything negative at all from your post Michael. In fact as I mentioned earlier it was your positive comments on tin can alley that swayed me! I'm very happy with the guitar which I've always regarded as punching well above it's weight.
Best wishes to you all, John

I am not sure of the exact numbers, but there are probably no more than a dozen of these in the UK. You might find them with another name on the headstock, but as Busker instruments there were only a few. I have no idea who the manufacturer was. Shine On Michael

I think Ken had a round neck version for a bit, which then went to Kristo, then onto someone else.
Love the look of them...something very whisky-esque.

Yes I did. Swapped it for Kristoโs Epiphone Century archtop. It wasnโt right for me, itโs the same with Tricones, just canโt get on with them. My โ65 Gardena D40(?) Dobro however, now thatโs a lot of honk!
