Any suggestions for something that fits properly? It's not going to be on a plane...probably not even gigged. I take good care of my stuff. it just needs to be a decent hard case.

Either 12 Fret / 14 Fret fit perfectly in any ‘classical guitar’ sized case.

Handmade in Poland by Artur Benedykt, these are beautiful cases. They are proper old fashioned wood cases. I can't make a photo link to the forum, but here is the link to Artur's website. www.benedykt-art-case.com/index.htmlShine On Michael

If "hard" is not a must the padded cases that MM guitars come in might be what you are looking for.
For my old Duolian I bought a secondhand MM just for the case (and resold the guitar), IMHO they are great to use around the house or in the car.

I agree with all the above. Especially the ART cases, they look great. That said, can anyone help with the opposite problem, got a case, can anyone help find an old Duolian to fit in it...? Cheers (and apologies for messing with the thread)!

Hiscox classical size is a good fit for any 12 fret National. I've had my duolian in one for 20 years.

Hiscox fit well enough but you have to confirm that there will be no pressure down on the strings that transfers to the cone because it's far from being a given. I have used my own Hiscox classical case with my MM Lightning~Blues, and I noted that it is not secure even though the profile is good. It's nothing you can't "fix" with a couple of foam pads each side of the strings. The ones covered in chamoix that are used in cars are ideal.
