I'm finding it really awkward at the moment having a bit of a clearout, there's a guy not too far away who wants to see/try one but it's just not on. I've been in contact with another forum member who is 130 miles away so that's bit the dust for now.
The shops must be struggling as well - musos calling round for a chat/tea/catch up not happening.
May it soon be over
Cheers

Hi there !
Wasn’t so bad in the summer. I sold lots of stuff on Gumtree locally. Buyers came, daw & tried out my stuff in my front garden, in nice days. Bit too cold for that now. Still managed to sell a guitar or two and another hopefully soon to someone further away. Bought quite a few things too. 4 resos for sale locally (3Nats & a Beltona)but you are right, it doesn’t feel right going to someone’s house (as it’s not !). Hell, our local restrictions means our most local shopping centre, like 2miles away, on the other side of the line of a county border, is out of bounds to travel to, for Xmas shopping !

Wear a mask, social distance. If you can go to a supermarket I don't see the issue. TT

20years ago I don’t think I would have bought anything ( except branded spares and strings) by post. I would want to handle the items, things are very different now. I have even bought guitars unseen ( from a trusted source, not far from the forum ) , I don’t even have to worry about not being in for the postman thanks to lockdown. But things are not ‘normal’ , so fingers crossed (not sure if this is a good thing to do for a guitarist) next year should be better. Yours, Hopefully Pete
