Hi I wonder if anyone can help? i have an option to buy a 2016 Busker nickel/ brass resonater. This has had very little use. i was thinking about a new blues mm but this seems too good an opportunity to miss. What are your opinions?

MM has been at the forefront of getting Far Eastern made resos to be as good as possible. Busker (Robin @busker set up early MMs) saw what MM was doing and tried, where possible , to follow . So Busker (design wise) was always 6 months to a year behind MM as Michael tried to get the makers to get ever closer to the ‘30s specs. So Buskers are good, but new MM (hopefully) are getting better. Pete

I could just about run to a Blues or a Lightning and the reviews are amazing for both. I might have to say no to the Busker. Thanks for the input folks.

Hi John, I'm lucky enough to have all the guitars you've mentioned. If you can only choose one and are getting it from MM go for the Lightning! Great guitar and Michael is tops to deal with!
Best wishes to you all, John

Hi,
This is my first post, so I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion.
I'd go for the MM Lightning (brass body) or MM Blues (steel).
They are set up by Dave King, one of the leading luthiers and designed by Michael Messer.
I had an early MM Blues that I wish I'd kept, and have a 2nd hand Blues 28, which is a lovely guitar.

Welcome Jezz, I don't think you'll get any arguments about your suggestions! If all things were equal, sounds, budget etc I'd go for the Lightning, it just looks so good!
Best wishes to you all, John

Hi Folks
I contacted Michael the other day and ordered a Lightning; can’t wait for it to arrive! Again, thank you for your advice.
