Hi, The link works here. Someone started experimenting with turning it into a classical nylon string Dobro?

Yes but it still has steel strings. I have an idea for a quick repair Pete

For those interested in other information on
The Dobro is serial number B 3 202 90, inside are 3 dates pencilled in, 1/16/89 on the back, 2/ 6/90 and N.E. 5/90 on the well. The well, end of neckstick etc are neat and well put together, though there is a minor spinning fault on the cone ( an extra deep groove, the spinner may have and hiccups) Pete

Hi, I would put a set of geared Banjo pegs on it (the holes in the peg head are larger(a keith peg or two would be interesting)

This is my idea for re-fitting steel machine heads, it does leave the rather large holes in the headstock, but it has survived some years so far , so hopefully it will be strong enough. Pete

I did that when I upgraded the machine heads on my Romanian bouzouki Pete! I think the upgrades were Austrian "Ebner" brand (or something like that) but the machine heads were binding because the holes weren't aligned and that was my "solution".

That'll be it. Probably. They're pretty good anyway.
