Hi out there, I'm in the process of rebuilding -restoring an early 30's M14 Dobro and I'm trying to track down an original tail piece. If anybody has or knows someone with one for sale , sure would love to hear from you.

I have the before and after, if you cannot find a period replacement the Golden Fiddle edge uses a fairly standard tailpiece but with discreet wood packing under the screw hole area to allow it to clear the rolled edge. When I change the strings on the serenader you see the design flaw in that the tailpiece has to be lifted slightly, each time this happens it puts stress on the 90 corner that goes over the tail of the guitar, hence a few have not lasted. Thanks for the tip Lee, from the historical perspective , I would like to put on an original. I'm not a player I 'm more a collector and have gathered up a couple of dozen old Resophonic's that I want to take them back to the day they were made.
