I believe that this is a 1932 (or earlier) round neck Dobro M27 but I would appreciate the group's input! I'm basing the year estimate off of a few identifying items (the squared of tuning peg slots, the missing fret marker at #17, and the "pat pending" and screws in the hour position on the cone cover). She was found at...wait or it...Goodwill! Complete with a case that looks to be as old as the Dobro, two slides, and nut. She sounds great, and is in good2great condition. Thanks for any input!

Nice guitar. It's a Model 55 from around 1931-1932. The model 27 wasn't introduced until slightly later. This guitar was made in California (square ends to the headstock slots), other than cyclops models, the California factory didn't start making Model 27 until 1933.

Another person (Mr. Steve Toth, from Reverb) said it couldn't be a 55 because the neck doesn't have binding. Do you agree? I couldn't find evidence of a 55 with an unbound neck, but I also couldn't accurately lock down which model I do have. Thanks again for your insight!
