I recently acquired a MM blues 14 fret neck joint for a friend who was a having tough time financially. Bought from a forum member for a very reasonable price.
After my friend got back on his feet it came back to me. For as long as I can remember I’ve played 12 fret guitars so I thought I’d move it on as it is 14 frets to the body.
Long story short is that the guitar has converted me to a 14 frets to the body and has become my favourite guitar. I’m astonished at the sounds that it produces ,especially given the price of the guitar new.
This MM blues has taught me to open up about my musical preferences and in the near future will be looking for another 14 fretted resonator.
So thanks Mr Messer for making very affordable excellent sounding instruments!

Pete, Thank you for your kind words. I am pleased you have found a new favourite guitar. It's a funny thing, we don't choose them, they choose us. It is often the one you least expect that becomes the one.
Enjoy!

I've also recently bought an MM Blues 14-fret. I hesitated between a 12-fret and a 14-fret. A 12-fretter looks a bit prettier to me, but a 14-fretter has, well, 2 frets more up the neck, and I'm a practical guy. I don't know in what way the slightly smaller body of a 14-fret affects the sound, but I'm absolutely amazed by the sound that comes out of this guitar. So much sustain and rich reverb.. It was also perfectly set up, and I can't see any flaw in the built or finish. Not sure the tuners will stand the test of time though, but for now they do the job very well and the guitar stays in tune. So congrats to Michael for designing this guitar, and for making this guitar player happy .

Hello Christophe,
Welcome to our forum and thank you for your very kind words about MM guitars.
Those tuners are pretty good. They are the best ones available to my manufacturer and they seem to last well. Finding good quality tuners that fit into my budget and look right on MM guitars was not easy. We have been using these for five or six years and so far there have been no problems. If you or any of my customers have problems with the tuners in the next few years, let me know and I will replace them free of charge.
Thank you Christophe

Thank you Michael, but as I said, no problem whatsoever with the tuners for now, so they stay there. I didn't mention the sunburst finish, though I call that a 'moonburst' . I like it, it is well applied and sets this model apart from others. Christophe, Belgium

My pleasure, Christophe. "Moonburst" is okay with me. It reminds me of my 1995 album "MOONbeat" Shine On Michael
