I'll take that on the chin MM. When I licked the wound of missing out on the Cadogan event, I rallied my defences and investigated Amsterdam. It was well over £200 for the experience. I had no idea that the UK gig was so much more "affordable" and that rotates the knife as well as plunging it in. Fair play and kudos to your sibling then? So who exactly is coining it in the Low Country then? e&oe...Steve, I don't know the answer to that, but I will find out and let you know. Shine On Michael

Jono, I reckon the chances are zero. I may be wrong, but these tickets are like golddust because Ry is only doing one small London concert. Even some quite important people in the business have been turned down for guest passes because everyone wants to go. However....you won't know unless you turn up and try.

Don't go Jono, don't play the game! Even when tickets were available I would still have had to unload the best part of £150 by the time they had put the surcharge on the surcharge, handling fees and whatever ever else they could think of to part us from our money! That's without transport and a drink! The powers that be have been promising to do something about ticket gouging for years, but still there aren't many gigs where you can buy a ticket at face value. Law of supply and demand is one thing, but the touts have got it sewn up. Support local bands when we can, you'll probably have just as much fun without being ripped off. Rant over!
Best wishes to you all,John

Oh and by the way, I happen to think that the recordings I've heard and the performances I've seen by Michael Messer are as good as Ry's any day of the week. Just saying.... Best wishes to you all, John

Here's a taste of what me and Michael had to put up with last night, all the old favourites were on stage (The Coodercaster, The teisco, The doubleneck) Ry was excellent, the crowd were all carried along, not sure who filmed this it was not me but I found it on YouTube which Ry advocates anyway.

It was a lovely evening of music and bumping into friends. There were 900 people in there and I think I knew 840 of them. Also spotted in the crowd were Nick Lowe, Billy Bragg and Eric Clapton.
Until next time!
