Where might I try out a Lightning and a (12 fret) Blues?

Hi, I’m in the market for a metal body resonator and would like to try out the Lightning and the Blues to see if. I prefer the sound of the brass or steel body.
Is there somewhere I can try these out?
I live in the New Forest in Hampshire (I am unable to drive for the next two weeks as I recently had knee replacement surgery).

Ps I have a Blues 28 which I like a lot.I used to have an OMI Dobro 33h from the early 1980’s, but we never really bonded, it was a14 fret neck and the body didn’t look / feel quite right to me.

Good to hear from you, but really sorry to hear about your knee.

Regarding viewing MM Guitars; My business is only mail order, I do not have a showroom.

Here are a couple of options...

I am happy to send you a guitar and if you don't like it, you can return it and try the other.

It is highly likely that not too far from you there are some MM guitar owners that might be happy for you to see them. Perhaps they might respond on this thread.

Both models are a million miles from being anything like a Dobro 33H.

I am pleased you are happy with your MMB28.

No you’re not going mad, and it is I who should apologise, I said Id send you details of the New Forest Acoustic Blues session in New Milton.... and it went right off my radar, so please accept my apologies.
However, in the spirit of “better late than never” I have now sent on your details to Pete Gabony who organises it and copied you into the email.
Ref your offer, I am on the brink of the Lightning, but would love to play / hear th3 Blues, perhaps bring it along to the NFAB session in September if you are able to get along? Or I could pop over to Calmore in a couple of weeks when Im able to drive again.

No worries at all, and thanks for the email and info regarding the get togethers. I may have to hold back on the sessions as my missus and I are expecting our baby a week later so dunno...I’ll ask ha!! I’m well up for it when things settle though :-)

In terms of playing the MM Blues you’re very welcome over to my folks when you’re up and running again, or if you’re available I could always swing by your pad with the Blues one evening next week or the week after. I’ll email you my mob number.
