If you had put money on your bet, you would have lost it!

I have never met Doug and until he started coming to the UK, which I think is within the last five to ten years, I had not heard of him. What I know about Doug McLeod from reading notes in venue programmes, is that he was a bass player in a few well known blues and jazz-blues bands. I think he played with George 'Harmonica' Smith. Doug is most well known for his songwriting, which includes "Nightbird" that became a big song and album title for Eva Cassidy, and I believe that for many years Doug hosted a popular blues radio show in LA. Doug McLeod has a fine reputation and his live shows apparently are full of great stories.

I am sure I will bump into Doug somewhere along the way. We have often been playing at the same venues and festivals, but have never run into each other.
