I think you're in for a real treat with him, both as musician and performer - here's a clip on his Fraulini 12 string,

I haven't seen Hans for many years. In fact it was 20 years ago in Slovakia. Brooks I bump into occasionally. Last time was at the Love Supreme Festival in Glynde, East Sussex, a couple of years ago. Hans & Brooks have recorded an album together, which I guess is what they are promoting on this tour.

Thanks -- I didn't know that, thought it was Hans with Brooks Williams separately. Interesting mix of styles and talent. Enjoy the show! Lawd Lawdy, Harriet

Way back in the early 90's, one of the fun parts of my job was promoting music events in the library service I worked for. Hans Theessink put on one of the best shows we did and certainly the one of the best attended. He was playing with a wonderful tuba player whose name escapes me. I still have the cassette somewhere. But nothing to play it on.
Good to be reminded of him. I'm off to YouTube!

The tuba player that Hans worked with in the 80s and probably into the 90s, was Jon Sass.

Yes, Jon Sass, thanks. A wonderful combination and they produced a huge sound.
