Hi Dave,
This is great news. I usually try to visit Denmark St whenever I am in London (I was there on 19 March and bought a ukulele in Macari's just round the corner) and will be back in London on 19 May so will try and drop by. I have also heard that the London Resonator Centre is moving to Denmark St in the near future so the place is becoming a real Mecca for us slideys.
All the best,
Joe (Mairena Red)

Hi there !
Dave King is the Man !!!
Fantastic ! Central London is much easier for access to repairs by Dave King.
I've had National 3 guitars worked on by Dave King - 2 had neck rests, one of which had a new fretboard and truss rod fitted. The 3rd - he made a new neck for - a Baritone neck, no less !! All top notch work. I can think of no one else in the UK I'd rather get to work on my Nationals.
I've seen quite a few of his own built guitars and they truly are gorgeous !! Importantly though, they play real nice too.
I'll pay a visit sometime soon to get a Highlander fitted in a National.
Aw, Dave ! Your the Man !!!

Dave has just finished repairing a Stella 12 string & Guild flat-top for Eric Clapton and is currently restoring a 19th century parlour guitar for Sting. He is also the UK's National Reso-Phonic official repairer and a builder of beautiful parlour guitars. 'nuff said :-)
Shine On, Michael.

Hi Dave,
Dropped in last week as promised but sadly you weren't in. However, I did meet Celine who was really nice and made some helpful comments on a ukulele I bought in Macari's last March. In the end I took it back for a refund. Thinking about buying a Bushman Jenny soprano off the net. Anyone out there tried one? What do you say Colin (Brooks)?
Catch you next time I'm in town,
All the best,
Joe (Mairena Red)

Latest news ,, Ive now started making my own cones (along with reso bodies), so can upgrade budget reso guitars to either National or my own cones...
Take Care,,, Dave King

Hi Dave ! If I phone/email in advance, how long do you need for a Highlander pickup placement ? Can it be done in a day, if "booked" in advance ? Can you do 2 in a day ? (I know it wouldn't actually take a day to work on, I just mean the whole logistics thing !!!!)
Thinking of doing two trips actually, two single cones Nationals, then a Tricone for a Magnaphonic pickup.
I'm likely to be talking a Saturday trip to Denmark Street. Idea is - hand in first thing saturday morning, collect end of same day.
Possible ?
Perhaps could drop off Friday late afternoon ?
Oh yeah ! Perhaps you could also cut a groove/slot in the biscuit (for a Highlander I've got already) for the Duolian you worked on a year or two back - I've done the biscuit that the Highlander came with, but the string slots in biscuit you did is MUCH better !!!)
Cheers, Richard O'Donnell, Edinburgh.
