hiya bluesbottle, to my way of thinking the first thing to sort out is if you want a metal bodied reso or a wooden one, I will probably get pilloried for say this but I believe that metal bodies are synonomus with blusey stuff and wood bodies are , well more country with regards to national v dobro, mabye thats subjective and you should take a look at them as both make wonderful instruments, Hope you get fixed up with work soon ( if thats what you want ) regards robbie

I have spoke to pete and ordered a couple of maple bridges thats ....the first hurdle behind me, the next is sourcing the correct tool to adjust the truss rod on the dobro. I have tried with the box spanners at my disposal but find I need something of the correct size for the distance across the adjusting nut .....but most importantly it needs to have a very thin wall thickness to allow access down the narrow bore hole onto the truss rod adjuster, its a very tight space, just wondering if anyone has an thoughts on the matter
cheers robbie

Hi Michael, I have sent off a couple of e mails to pete but unfortunatly have not received a reply, I have therefore sent off to stewart macdonalds for the parts,..................however whilst trying to set up the dobro h33 ( spider bridge ) I have noticed a big problem with the intonation.. it is sharp at the 12th fret I am aware of the remedial action but I cannot move the spider/cone sufficiently to correct the intonation. I wonder if you have come across this problem before?your advice would be greatly accepted. Many thanks robbie.

Hello there, I have been advised to seek help on MM's forum, regarding a replacement bridge / saddle for a dobro h33. (maple / ebony) I have sourced them in canada and america but was wondering if anyone knows a supplier in the uk, no big deal if not ....I will then purchase it for abroad.
thanks for your help regards
