Does anybody know anything about Imperial resonator guitars. They seemed to have just appeared on the scene. I'm guessing they are made in China for this company. Here is the link imperialguitars.com/

Looks like there are 2 Imperial Guitars. The first started about 3 years ago in Cambridge, tried to Ron a market stall, but this was uneconomic , so now they function as a small internet business, selling mostly second hand stuff. They may not have registered their name, this looks like a U.S. company. PT Will ask Imperial UK.

The FAQs answer the question about where they're made -
Where are they made? It depends. Generally speaking, we source unfinished bodies from Korea or China and make the instruments here in California. Sometimes we will try out an instrument that comes to us already completed. Often it’s not worth the the trouble to turn guitar shaped objects into actual instruments, but we do have suppliers that can and do send us beautifully finished instruments that we hardly have to do anything to. Our current supplier for the resonator guitar bodies is top notch.
They obviously have no connection with Imperial Guitars in Cambridge. Coincidentally, I once bought a Busker Deco Tricone from Imperial Guitars in Cambridge. They were a pleasure to deal with, eccentric, unconventional, but very friendly. Unfortunately the guitar fell apart, but it gave me an opportunity to try my own repairs, replace parts, and sell it on. The next owner loved it!

They look identical to Republic guitars, that wood body tricone is the same as my Republic one apart from the headstock (the middle one in my avatar). And the metal models the same apart from headstock shape.
