The Furry Lewis clip is from a wonderful film called 'All Along The Old Man River' narrated by BB King. Bukka White is also fantastic in this film.

This has got to be my best YouTube find to date... amazing! Please check out this version of Tommy Emmanuel's take on "Classical Gas."
Amazing... This one I've watched over and over again.

Richard, Your singing & playing sounds great! I would like to be able to embed You Tube films on this forum, but I can't work out how to do it....any ideas anyone?) The Dundee Blues Bonanza looks like fun. Jim, Pete & Rob....The Hokum Hotshots are great guys to hang out with and I always enjoy hearing them play. Their 1983 vinyl LP 'Maybe It's the Blues' is wonderful and at the time was quite an unusual record. It definitely influenced me and helped turn me on to Casey Bill Weldon and one or two others. I can hear some Hotshots influences on my first album, 'Diving Duck'. Their more recent albums, 'Still in the Game' and 'Guitar Swing' are also great records, but 'Maybe It's the Blues' is my favourite. Shine On Jim, Pete & Rob Robn, I like the guy playing Oscar Peterson stuff on the Amistar. Sounds good. I saw Oscar Peterson at Ronnie Scott's in the late 1970s. His trio were just about as good as it gets. Basil, your clips are excellent. Thank you for posting them. And your chimp is almost as good as that revolving Dobro! This is a great thread with a lot of useful links to You Tube films. Keep 'em coming ;D Shine On, Michael

Hi again !
You guys have to see this guy (unless already been mentioned) - The Rev Boyd Rivers - live at the 1980 Mississippi Blues Festival. I've got it on video tape (he does 2 songs) but the tape is that old and nearly chewed up that I'm afraid to play it now - I wish I knew where to get a copy - a DVD would be best though.
Check him out - he is REAL down home blues - deep bluesy voice and cool guitar riff - I've got him sussed.
Check him out !!!!!!!!!!
