Hi All
Blind Willie Johnson is one of the greats that I have never really listened to that much and I want to go back and revisit. There are so many versions of the recordings out there though, much like Robert Johnson, but with RJ there are what is regarded as the best versions to listen to. Does such a thing exist for Blind Willie Johnson? Where shall I start?
Any input greatly appreciated!!
Many thanks David

The Columbia Roots & Blues double CD has everything and sounds fine, but if you want to be fussy I know of individual masters of songs that are the cleanest of that song.

Hi Michael
Thanks very much for your response!! I will go with the Columbia roots & blues to get my going. I've tried a couple in the past that the quality was so bad on I couldn't really make it out.
Looking forward to getting stuck in today!!
Many thanks David
