Hi there ! Having just received my first resonator ukelele from Steve Evans (Beltona), I am yet again blown away by Steve's ukes. Craftmanship is excellent. Playability is excellent too. Steve has also worked on three of my Nationals (one a refret, and two neck resets, truss rod installation and new fretboards). He has also has worked on two other guitars a 1954 rare Silvertone electric, and a Kay dreadnought copy (both Elmore James associated models). All were restored to a very high standard. Just thought Steve deserves a bit of recognition - he is still making excellent musical instruments ! Once I get acquainted with my new reso Tenor uke a bit more, I'll post a video of how it sounds. Pictured below is my new Tenor reso uke, plus two earlier non-reso Concert Beltona ukes. Attachments:

Uke said it!!!
I agree, under the Radar but known to those who matter.
I have a Beltona Tricone from the Bill Johnson era (1996), compared to a modern NRP it is like a Bentley to a Cadillac....

Could be a Chuck Berry lyric! Wasn't the whole idea of the resonator guitar to be loud, a bit brash, a bit 'American'! Isn't that why we love them! Best wishes to all,John

Ditto to that!! My 1997 Beltona triplate (yep ~ the Bill Johnson era - serial no. 104) is an incredible instrument. Steve profiled the neck to match my buddies 1930 Style O that has the most comfortably worn shape i've ever played Slide On! Ian.
