I have seen this guitar before. It is apparently a 2001 Dobro 33c. I don't know this model, or if it was sandblasted by the Gibson company. If it was done by the manufacturer it was another nail they hammered into the Dobro brand that they eventually destroyed. It's a terrible looking thing. The sandblasted image looks like a cheap mirror or poster that you get in street markets. Dobro made some very bad instruments around that time.

Madame PD obviously knows more about guitars than she's letting on!

Madame PD obviously knows more about guitars than she's letting on! Graeme, you could be right. After eyeing up various newish Dobros for decades she finally agreed to me buying a 1936 M-32 a year or so ago. ...........and it was an awful lot cheaper than that one, plays a dream and sounds great - even with me playing it.

Hi all
I have played that exact guitar. It's being sold by absolute music in Bournemouth, one of my favourite haunts. It was probably a couple of years ago now that I played it though, they have had it for a long time.
It was actually really nice, played well and sounded good. Way overpriced though.
All the best David

I played it a couple of months ago and thought it sounded about as good as it looks... They have a NRP Estralita too for £200 more and it's ten times the guitar this is.
