HI Snakehips
I think the general feeling, going by some of the hilarious comments given on the site where I first saw it..... is that it is an E-bay scam...... These Americans certainly don' t hold back with their comments on this particular site .... not like Micheals site where we all seem to be quite civilised and almost apologetic with our comments ....... but going back to the RJ photo I like the one that says about it .... "apart from the eyes, nose , mouth and chin it looks quite like him "....... and a start bid price of 758 US dollars to boot.......... I'm having a happy birthday Michael ...... regards Growler

HI Snake hips
Got the price a bit wrong ............. 795.000 US dollars ..... not 758 US dollars like I first mentioned ....... no bids yet though

"These Americans certainly don' t hold back with their comments "
Yes, I often notice that where we Brits say "I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you" they'll wade right in with "How can you be so stupid as to say that". I've had considerable amounts of personal abuse over the years from Americans who didn't agree with me, often on the most trivial matters - as I pointed out to one of them, where I was brought up if you said stuff like that to someone's face you'd soon be looking for your teeth. All in all I prefer our way of doing things. As my old mum used to say, politeness doesn't cost anything.
On the RJ picture I'll stick to a relatively polite "Are you 'aving a larf?"

HI LouisianaGrey
Regarding your " These Americans certainly don't hold back with their comments "
Well some of them don't think before posting a thread ..... some guy posting his ' first ' thread on a rival site stupidly made some dreadful comment about " when he played guitar solo ..... no problem ,but when he played guitar and sang he likened the singing to that of a 9 year old Downes syndrome child ,which promptly sent in a barrage of replies, one from some chap with a Downes child. He told the guy he has a problem if he choose to use such metaphores ....... but the guy who posted the original thread replied back telling him he had the problem .... not him.
Thankfully the thread was removed before it got even more personal ....... and they got back to discussing guitars which is what it should be about ........... Regards Growler

Ah yes, I remember him. In fact I must confess I did unworthily give in to the urge to take the piss out of him myself at one stage in that thread (too easy a target to resist). Mind you., as I recall he did start out by saying he could play all his guitar solos "perfectly", which was a bit of a clue as to what kind of person he was. I've been playing for nearly forty years and I haven't managed a perfect guitar solo yet!

Hmmm! Strange thing though, when I clicked on 'sellers other items' - NOTHING came up not even the "RJ" photo! Spooky.
