Hi Michael. You're pretty knowledgeable about this kinda stuff, do you think these young fellas know what they're talking about? (Apologies if this has been posted previously, I've not seen it before)

Good Lord!!! .....I was 42 years old. That was in August 1998. Nice to see John & Margaret Dopyera and so many old friends from that time.
Just before that Q & A session with John and me, we were all taken out to lunch and had drunk far too much wine and local Dobro juice. They didn't tell us we were going to be on TV until after the lunch! We thought we were going back to the hotel for a nap, so John and I gargled some strong coffee and went for it.
Hilo March.... haven't played that one for a while.

Interesting clips, how time flies, I remember John & Margaret dropping in to the Dove at that time, I have just spent a little time watching the other years, it was also good to see Dave Peabody playing the F1 resonator.

It does indeed.
Margaret and John came over to spend a week with me and one of our excursions was to the Dove. I think that was in the spring of 1999.
It feels like a month ago, but then when I see myself in that video and of course John is no longer with us, I realise that much time has passed.
Dave Peabody with the F1 single cone. I haven't seen the video, but I am pretty sure that was in 1997. He still has the F1. My F1 is a Tricone and is in desperate need of spending some time with Mike in Paris. It's a lovely guitar that was built with a lot of passion and it deserves to be in perfect working order.
