The headstock shape is the obvious departure, but this is not a copy so nothing awry with that, however, from personal preference, I would prefer a slightly less fussy headstock profile. Notice the slight deviation in the line of the upper bout where it joins the neck when compared to a Gibson. Bear in mind it only has a maple veneer and not a carved cap, but the savings have to kick in somewhere. Still, the reputation of Vintage as a make is pretty well copper bottomed and it's a very good price. Not really a lover of Lesters myself- I like double cuts, but ain't she purtee!

Unless you have additional information, just because the pickup screw orientation is flipped does not mean that you will get the Green tone. It is the magnet pole orientation inside the pickup that matters... Other than that, there are many options out there in a les Paul clone and many factors to consider...many are a matter of personal taste and available funds.

I was going to say something similar, PT Though you don't have to turn the magnet round on most modern pickups with 4wire outputs, just change the phase.(change the earth and live over)

Trev Wilkinson has a hand in most of the Vintage offerings that I've seen and I'd be willing to gamble that he'd have the pick ups configuration base well covered.

I had one of these for a while, great guitar and it really does nail the Peter Green out of phase sounds. The pickups are great and it played well too. Can't go wrong for the price!
