Hiya all
I was kindly given a CD of old Blues which includes Lane Hardin Hard Time Blues.
Sounds fantabidosie. I have now found the lyrics on the tinternet.
Can anyone help please with a guide on TABs (sounds like a Drop D with the 6th string as base, but i could be wrong!)
any pointers will be appreciated. Steve Isle of Man

The tune is played out of E position tuned down around 2 steps to C. There is discussion of this tune on www.weeniecampbell.comI believe John Miller has a lesson on it on one of his videos (St.louis Blues IIRC).

I haven't listened very closely, but it is in the key of C and the guitar is tuned down. It is either in regular tuning (down to C) and played out of the E chord, or it is in Vestapol down to C. I would need to sit with it for half an hour to be sure.

Whilst this is eminently playable in standard tuning (down to C), there is a strong case for thinking he may have been in EAEGBE tuning.
