Very sad news..... Scotty Moore was one of the most important musicians of the twentieth century. He played guitar on all of Elvis Presley's early records. Definitive and brilliant! Scotty Moore R.I.P. Shine On Michael

Hi, ....actually, quite low.
Gutted! Great innings though.
Imagine what the world of music would be like now if Scotty hadn't caught on to Elvis's sense of fun when he started fooling around with 'That's alright mamma' during a break from playing boring standard ballads?
There's a great band massing somewhere that's having a fabulous day because a hero just arrived.

I guess the template for thousands of aspiring guitarists around the planet was taken from Scotty's playing. another massive loss and another direct link to the birth of rock'n roll at leasr as I know it
will be sadly missed
