While not to everyone taste I realize, Phil X is a guitarist of international renown and is held in high regard in his genre. A few years ago was asked to stand in for the lead guitarist on a Bon Jovi tour, Can remember the name of the guitarist because I dislike Bon Jovi with a passion but nice work if you can get it for a sessions player.

Hi Lexluthier,
How ever much of a great guitarist he is, in that clip of film of him playing the lap steel he is all over the place.
I love loud rock guitar. I grew up playing that music.

Michael/Snakehips, I agree, I just wanted to make a point. Phil's a clown, he would say it himself. He turns up at Fretted Americana regularly to make promotional videos and plays(or tries!) what ever they stick under his nose that day, with entertaining results the YouTube hits would suggest. He's a little more serious in his many clinics and is very helpful to young player, for whom he has a lot of time. I may not pay to see him play but he has my respect. Nuff said! Chris
