Steve, if you missed the point, that makes two of us. Not my sort of thing at all.
If one wants to make a sound like that; either don't use a slide, or learn to play a pedal steel and get the full effect, of which this is a poor imitation. I M H O

likely, a pedal steel would be much easier to master.
it wouldn't require different depths of pedal engagement at various neck locations to be in tune like this device would.
to itself, even a "B Bender" device would make more sense.

Devil's advocate... Instead of playing behind the slide, It's used for playing in front of the slide - interesting concept? Cos I use the slide on the middle finger, its something I already do occasionally. I watched the videos on the links, and he's getting some decent sounds. It's not for everyone (or many), but I think it can add quite a lot of sound for a solo player. Its over complicated though... TT

Interesting idea...but you can put a shorty slide or thimble on your thumb and save around £149.00. I've just tried it and it works, but I still prefer to pull the strings behind the bar for those "pedal steel" bends.
