In respect of RJ's singing - listen to Peetie Wheatstraw and you find out where he got it from.

"This isn't falsetto."
Well, every article I have read about Skip James describes his singing as falsetto. If you are right then all of them are wrong.

Nastiness isn't necessary. I am merely quoting from post 11 which says "this isn't falsetto"

Well you're not really are you - you essentially quoted half a quote. You missed it and failed to make a non-existent point. For completeness, my original post was how SJs voice had changed over the years, Mickeyz stated that SJ 'sang in falsetto'. My subsequent post pointed out that wasn't always the case. To address your post more fully too, at the end of the day, I don't need an article writer to explain what my ears are hearing - maybe you do. But I'll agree with you 100% if you find a single article that states "SJ ALWAYS sang in falsetto'. You won't though, 'cos I'm right. As for nastiness, take a long hard look at yourself first. TT

You seem to want to fight. I am not interested. Believe anything about Skip James singing that you want to, it doesn't matter to me.
