Hi Folks
Just to satisfy my geeky curiosity, why do the older MM Blues have three marker dots on the 12th fret, whereas now there appears to be only two ?? Im guessing for greater replication of the original model ??

And one additional question... I just bought 15-56 Newtone strings for my MM Blues, are they the medium weight fitted as standard when ordering the guitar ??

Hi Wailing,
Yes, the change of markers is to make the guitars look more authentic.
MM Guitars are fitted with MM Newtone National 13 to 56 gauge strings. Originally I fitted all MMs with 15/56, but 13/56 is a standard set and therefore makes more sense to fit to new guitars when they at our workshop.
Personally speaking, I prefer 15/56 to 13/56 on all National-style resonator guitars.
Shine On Michael.

Thanks for the info Michael.. Im guessing everyone asks this one.. so its my turn.. If I put 13 -56 on the guitar.. would I need to have the guitar set up again ??
