remember a while back MM was searching for the elusive amp in the title line. tried to resurrect old thread, couldn't find same. i can't vouch for these. only heard about 'em today. glowing reviews from owners across the board, somewhat rare as amp tastes vary perhaps even more than that for automobiles. 1 watt, 2 tube pedal/amp. not just pre tube distortion like the competition [that i'm aware of] but a pre and post amp circuit that is reported to sound just like the big kids do. most any 12__7 bottles can be used in V1 and V2. licensed "London Power" wattage scaling circuit. 120 or 240 mains option should make this'n a true jet setter: www.stephensonamps.com/stage-hog.htm[no affiliation--blah, blah.] mfgd in canada mitchfit PS---MM perhaps Colin can lay hands on and test drive one of these for you? i'd sure like to hear his review.

(active on the board today, trying to avoid real work...) I dunno...you have to lug around a speaker cabinet, multiple cables, and cables/connections are the number one point of intermittents and failures over time. Who knows what it sounds like?

The best travel amp I know of that is a real amp, rather than a toy, is the Pignose 7-100.
Nothing in the portable amp world can touch it. I can use it miked-up on stage and it sounds brilliant.
It is a bit bigger than the Stephenson, but it's a complete unit - amp & speaker.

That's the older model pignose with the orange label and wooden case for it?
