saw where the owner was trying to find a schematic for this amp at another forum, didn't work then: .."Picked up a matching Lap steel & Amp set, Tweed Model #97 Waikiki, Labeled "Chicago Musical Instruments Co" 50 watt , has loctal tubes, 7Z4, 2 x 7C5,7F7,7C7 . I have it working; I replaced 3 of the paper capacitors and now sounds good but think may still need some attention ? the 7F7 get warm not hot like the ones on the left and the 7C7 does not warm up at all doesn't seem right to me based on my little experience with tube"... there he was warned by some amp techs to get it to a qualified repair facility rather than devalue it with an "OO-o-ps"! caught my eye because near show room floor condition of Waikiki amp and National lap steel. if i were bidding it i'd be sure Terry Dobbs agreed to go through it first. [no affiliation here, either] another consideration, the tubes/valves although foreign sounding to those familiar with modern tube amps are easy to locate, and much cheaper than those currently used for axe amps. [for valves/tubes that are much higher quality than what one finds in current production] reverb.com/item/876329-rare-national-waikiki-lap-steel-matching-97-tube-amp-1950-s-blonde-tweed-casemitchfit

PS--
just read entire for sale advert:
..."The Amplifier is labeled Model # 97 Waikiki Deluxe , 50 watt input"...
have done some checking on the net since posting. should be a decimal point between five and zero in that sentence.
[added hours later] and be a reference to output instead.
good news is these same output tubes were used in automobile radios in that period. should stand up to a lot of vibration, bouncing around.
