OK folks, I've heard the best place to find old Nationals (around the world) is near to old American Army and Air bases! On a stroll around Greenham Common in Berkshire (where Cruise missiles were based in the '80's) last week, my friend told me there are absolutely tons of leftovers burried there. What do you recon, is it worth buying a metal detector?!!

Found my first Duolian back in 1981 at Evreux (Fr-Normandy) an American air base. Sadly the geetar had no cone inside (and a P.U cut), and to order (by air mail)a new Dobro cone at OMI was too long and fastidious (and dangerous for it) so I sold back the geetar two weeks later... Price was... 1500 francs/165 GBP
