Any squareneck resonator or Weissenborn players here? I am new to the forum and wanted to share this 1 minute video intro to my blog - squareneckjournal.com - which is dedicated to squareneck resonator and Weissenborn guitarists and features interviews with top players and builders, gear & CD reviews and tips on musicianship.

Hey Rob, I am an avid reader of your blog. Hats off, this is so interesting to know about top builders and players, and it is nicely done (worthwhile to the steel guitar )! Can I suggest to do one with Kenton Emerson (Emerson brothers), as he is one of the last to play old time acoustic Hawaiian on both a 1928 squareneck tricone and a Weiss?

Hi Rob,
Great blog, and welcome here! I'd second Pascal's suggestion that you get a hold of Ken Emerson, who I have met many times, he is a remarkable player. I believe he is back living on Kauaii again.
Also as far as luthiers go, Michael Dunn in Vancouver is a must. Apart from being a veteran Gypsy Jazz guitarist and accomplished Hawaiian style lap player Michael has built many Weissenborn and Knutsen style instruments over a long career. He is now pretty well retired, but would make a fascinating subject for an interview. Aloha, Colin
