shouldda read the entire advertisement before posting the above advert alert.
seller's claim, "These add up to a big 16"!" is either pure hoopla, or plain plane geometry challenged.
they ~will not~ sound nearly as "big" as a 15" speaker will.
without getting into the truncated cone slant height, and actual driver paper cone outside diameter added on to the surface area of a spherical intersection segment [dust cap] the true air moving surface area can't really be determined very closely.
even using just the frame diameter [basket] and circle area for the equation, 2-8" OD circles do not even come close to one single 16" circle for surface area.
to put it in perspective without getting the formula and a calculator, 1-15", 2-12" and 3-10" speakers will all move approximately equal amounts of air.
yawn, boring...
