Just a note to mention that a recent interview I did for Acoustic magazine is now on my website. Go to INTERVIEWS, REVIEWS & EDITORIALS page and click on the link. www.michaelmesser.co.ukWith the legendary Johnny Cash himself providing a poem for the sleeve notes, Mark Tucker quizzes the UK No.1 slide player, Michael Messer, about his new album, the public's new acceptance of 'traditional' music and playing live with a guitar that has no controls. Thanks to Steve Harvey (editor) for permission to publish it on my site. Shine On, Michael.

Read the article in Smith's the other day. Its interesting what you say about the reggae track. Audiences and tastes seem to change so quickly. How about a version of Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive' in the style of Son House? You could even release a limited edition album and call is Delta Disco.....Maybe its ahead of its time.

Disco and Son House.......that's not as crazy as you may think. Those ascending & descending bass lines in Son House's music....Empire State Express...for example, could that be an early version of those seventies bass lines in disco & soul?
Shine On, Michael.
