Hi,theres a programme on BBC 2 9.30 this coming Saturday if you havent seen..
"Reginald D Hunter Songs Of The South Mississippi and Louisianna"
Three part series.This is the last one(havent watched any myself yet)..Looks like it will be up on IPlayer for a month..Link and clips from the coming show here.

Recommend anyone who can get to see the first two on Iplayer to do so, very good, wish they where longer. Looking forward very much to part 3 next Saturday.

Thanks for the heads-up. Just watched Part 1 - excellent programme! With recent changes to I-Player programmes are available for a while longer. Well done BBC.

I tuned in to watch last night.Really enjoyed it .He said white men invented the blues (gave us. Or something like that) Guess thats true we did..But ive been getting into the new/old recodings from Yazoo recently.One is called "Times Aint Like they Used To Be" theres 8 volumes.Another is "Before the Blues". both music from the 1920's - 1930's. Such a rich mine of music..You can really hear a strong connection to the blues in all that music.Definitely going to dig deeper into it..
Going to watch the others sometime.
