hardcore 1624/1624T fan-boys like itself are by nature the types who consume inappropriate amounts of precious time in pursuit of phantom tones. case in point the "flying dutchman" LZ1 amp.

there is enough speculation as to which actual amp was used on the internet to warrant a book of its own, disregarding entirely the music and fame of the album and band.**
the point of the above is i recently discovered another celebrity use of the little 1624 dirt monster. this time, without the "T" suffix which indicates tremolo. in fact, if the attached link is valid, he bought an entire herd of them -30 units- before the builder Oliver Archut died last year. in this case it is the "Oahu" branded model, as valco circuits seem to have nearly as many offspring as adam and eve:
