One final thing (for now) The screw for the pickup - there is now a gap of about <1mm to the plate thing, so the pickup now has a gap of about 2mm. I take it that the screw doesn'tt need to be "1.6-2.6mm" from the plate thing - just the pick-up? Its not the greatest screw for getting those separations - I wonder if there is a flatter head screw that would do? TT

Hello again. The guitar is fine, but he says he still gets feedback quite readily once the amp is turned up 25%. He's putting it through a marshall acoustic amp. Its fine for his other single cones / highlanders but not the tricone. For an example, the soundman at ballyshannon couldn't get it to not feedback. suggestions so far: - move a mushroom post on the neckstick closer to pick-up (done) - muffle the short string ends (done) - try a different amp (any suggestions?) - try using an EQ pedal (to be done) - try (begrudgingly) using brozmans 'soundhints' - use a SM57 with it (might not be practicable) or is there something obvious I've not come across? Any help appreciated, TT

You could try using the amp as a guitar monitor & running the line out or DI if it has one into the desk
