This depends on how good you are on Harp. I`m not very good, so would use one tuned to Dmin. I might also play some of it on a standard `G` harp. An expert player would (I think ) use a `C` in 3rd position. This would give you a good `C` and `G` chords needed in the song. PT PS: my Minor harps are ones I`ve tuned, I don`t know about `off-the-shelf` ones, maybe another member can fill in the gap?

Robbie a G harp played in 3rp position will work well, D min 3rd position root note or tonic starts on Draw hole 4 of the G harp, or one octave down which is Draw hole one where you will get the A# by bending the note in Draw hole 3 another option would be to by a minor harp, Lee Oscar do a full range,I guess they would be tuned so the scale starts on Blow hole one which would give you a more folky sound than blues.

thanks guys for your help, as I mentioned I have just bought an " el cheapo " G harp which should arrive tomorrow. I will give it a blow with mouth or a hammer depending on what comes out..I presume that the draw hole is a suck ( inhale ) rather than a blow
again many thanks chaps
kind regards

Robbie Sorry, I should have said 3rd position on a C harp! Not 3rd position on a G harp, 3rd position on a G harp gives you A min, not D min. but all is not lost, play your G harp in 2nd position, draw hole 2,gives you the root note D, for the flat 3rd bend hole 3 down a semi tone from F# to F natural, bend it down another semitone to get E. Get yourself a harp tuned to C to play 3rd position D min. try the D min scale on each harp reach has it's own flavor, see which you prefer.
