I love Ry Cooder's music, always have. Back in the 1970s and 80s when our kind of music was less popular, Ry was THE man and we (slide players and roots musicians) all looked up to him. When 'Paris TeXas' came out......83/84 (?), there wasn't a slide guitarist on the planet who didn't include a version of 'Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground' in their repetoire.
