Hi Y`all,
two weeks ago i followed my wifes advice to try out a nail-studio downtown. I always suffered on breaking and weak fingernails. Funny how the crowd was lurkin´after the old poofter. After two weeks of practising, they proof to be durable and stable. Possibly it makes a little difference in comparison to fingerpicks by the way they hit the strings ( concave rather than convex ) and hence sound a bit different. I´m working on this. I think no more flying fingerpicks makes the whole procedure worthwile. Has anybody in the forum made some experience too ( nails, not coming-out, ) keep on slidin´

A friend of mine, an a fabulous folk player called Ray Stroud does the same. They don't look too weird. TT

Also folk/blues musician Ernie Hawkins uses and recommends them. Not something I would put on my fingernails though - I don't think they'd get on with the glue.
