Hi, The lady singer that I work with wants to sing walking after midnight (The old Patsy Cline song) any body play'd this . I am thinkig a 9th tuning of some sort. any body play this and if so what tuining do you use?

Hi Chris,
The song has quite a simple chord structure. I assume you are wanting to play lap steel?
I think that most players would use C6th tuning, but I would try it in regular open E tuning. I have feeling the original may be in E tuning. The song is in the key of C.

C6th gives you most of the notes of the first 4 bars without moving the slide, though if you play it in C you might tune down a tone or play it in D , so you don`t have to start on the octave PT
