HI, I had this mandolin for a very long time, and no I do not know how to play. I like to know how old it is, who made it and if there is any value for this type of mandolin. I will try to send pictures and thanks again . If I can not figure out how to send pictures, this mandolin is a Blue Bird mandolin having the Blue Bird badge at the top of the neck.

The Brand name Bluebird came up in an earlier thread : michaelmesser.proboards.com/thread/14It looks like yours is a mass produced American Mandolin, but it still could be a good instrument, just not worth a lot of money. You might try asking on the forum at Mandolin Cafe where folks know all about Mandolins.
